New York: Concert
Message from Inna:
“Happy summer! I want to invite you to a few upcoming concerts in NYC, before I leave to play in Chicago, Bologna, Brevard Festival in South Carolina (Ravel Left Hand concerto) and chamber music at Music@Menlo in California.
I will be playing at the SDCA Gallery at the South Street Seaport on Tuesday, June 5th at 8 pm, and at Arium, 31 Little West 12th Street, on Saturday, June 9th, at 5:30. The program will include music of Ravel, Gluck, Schubert-Liszt, Jan Freidlin, and the Rachmaninoff 2nd Sonata, original version from 1913. This is not frequently heard as it is much more long and difficult than the popular revised version. However, the earlier composition is truly rich and satisfying, with obvious connections to the Bells, Rachmaninoff's great Choral Symphony that he composed around the same time. In other words, I think it's much much better than the latter version, so please come hear it!
I also want to let you know that my website, www.innaonline.com now features tracks from three cds that are available for purchase. Have a listen and enjoy.
A wonderful and restful summer to you all, and until soon.”
